Our most important recommendations for reliably and sustainably strengthening your digital security.

1. Complex passwords

Use unique, complex passwords or passphrases and MFA; never share them and store them only in the approved password vault.

2. Ensure confidentiality

Carefully assess the confidentiality and sensitivity of information before sharing and follow internal approval processes.

3. Timely patch management

Install security updates and patches for workstations and mobile devices immediately upon release; any delay increases the risk of compromise.

4. Caution with links & attachments

Verify links and files before opening them—especially in emails or SMS. Never publish sensitive data without explicit approval.

5. Use trusted tools

Use only software and cloud services that have been approved and provided by your IT team.

6. No unapproved devices

Connect only approved peripherals and storage media to corporate or personal devices; use data blockers where possible.

7. VPN & secure Wi-Fi

Always use a VPN when outside the corporate network and avoid unsecured public Wi-Fi hotspots.

8. Responsible social media use

Regularly review the personal data you publish—business information does not belong on social networks.

9. Lock devices consistently

Lock your device and end confidential sessions whenever you leave your workstation.

10. Separate private & business

Use corporate resources strictly for business purposes and keep private activities clearly separate.
